Dr. John M. Wray
Dr. Wray is a native of Greenville, Maine, and attended undergraduate school at the University of Southern Maine Portland – Gorham. He is a 1971 graduate of the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and did a two year surgical residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Chicago. Following his residency, he joined the faculty at Scholl College where he taught surgery for 18 years, attaining the academic rank of Clinical Professor in Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Wray has been board-certified in podiatric surgery for 30 years by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgery.
Dr. Wray began his private practice in 1977 as an associate of Peter N. Varzos, DPM. He took over the practice in 1983 at the time of Dr. Varzos’ retirement from private practice. The name Drs. Varzos, Wray, and Associates continued until January 2000 when the practice incorporated as Podiatry Center, SC. Dr. Wray is a member and past president of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association and a member and delegate to House of Delegates of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
A member of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Licensing Board from January 2012 to present and the By-Laws Committee of the American Podiatric Medical Association since August of 2012.
